- I decided to use a photo I had previously taken of the empire state building
- I used the quick selection tool to erase the building from the image and I proceeded to use to paint fill tool to black this out.
- When using the quick selection tool I had to change the brush size multiple times to remove the building as accurately as I could
- I then decided that the background (the original picture) was too dull for the building being blackened so I decided to up the saturation of this layer
- After this, I added another layer where I used the different settings on the brush tool to inset more buildings either side of the current one as I felt this created a better effect
- I then added my final layer which was for the album title. I decided to call it 'Welcome to New York' due to the setting of the cover.
- I chose the font which I felt suited the cover the best and decided that it should be black in order for it to appear uniform
- Finally, I altered the font so that it had a shadow to create a 3D effect

HB: Digipack Production Task
For this task we had to create an album cover, by using an original image and minipulating it on photoshop. This was so we could learn how to use the basic tools and experiment with them.
